PULSE® Supports Red Cross Tornado Relief Fund
The line of tornadoes that ripped through Kentucky and nearby states in early December 2021 claimed scores of lives and impacted thousands in the region. In response, the American Red Cross sent hundreds of trained disaster workers from around the country to provide relief services such as shelter, meals, supplies, and emotional support.
PULSE® has joined the effort to help restore these communities and provide much-needed assistance to the victims by donating to the Red Cross tornado relief fund.
“These disasters are more than single events. They remind us all that we must work together in times of need.”

“These disasters are more than single events. They remind us all that we must work together in times of need,” said Steve Sievert, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Brand Management for PULSE. “As our parent company, Discover, is among the Disaster Responder Program members of the American Red Cross, we’re proud to provide support that helps ensure the Red Cross can fulfill its vital mission.”
In western Kentucky, the Red Cross assisted in providing warm meals, water, and other supplies to workers helping in relief efforts, while emergency aid stations were set up to deliver batteries, comfort kits and other emergency supplies. In Arkansas and Missouri, the Red Cross met with affected families to help locate additional resources for recovery.
“With thousands of homes affected and damage spanning hundreds of miles, this response is a team effort,” the Red Cross said. “Massive disasters like these tornadoes leave behind an incredible amount of need, and no single organization can do it alone.”
