Jennifer Schroeder Named President and COO of PULSE
January 28, 2026 — PULSE today announced that Jennifer Schroeder has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of the debit network. Jennifer, a 30-year Discover veteran and a widely-respected leader, will assume the role on March 2, joining the Global Payment Network’s senior leadership team.
Jennifer brings deep client-focused, product, and operational expertise to her new position, including 13 years with PULSE. Since joining Discover in 1993 as a call center representative, she has served in a variety of senior leadership roles across platforms, customer experience, operations, and product management. Her leadership of PULSE Operations beginning in 2013 laid the foundation for her 2020 transition to lead Product Management, where she guided complex product implementations, pricing strategies, and major processor and merchant negotiations.
Most recently, Jennifer successfully led a key milestone for the Network: the conversion of Capital One’s debit card portfolio from Mastercard to Discover Network and PULSE.
“Jennifer is known as a collaborative and pragmatic leader with a strong customer focus and a proven ability to execute,” said Jason Hanson, President, Global Payment Network. “Her deep understanding of the business and commitment to our clients make her the ideal person to guide PULSE into its next chapter.”
Dave Schneider to Transition to Special Advisor Role
As part of the organizational update, Dave Schneider will transition from President and CEO of PULSE on March 2 to a Special Advisor role, reporting to Jason.
Dave leaves a payments industry legacy built over nearly 40 years of service to PULSE. Beginning as outside counsel in 1986 and joining the company as President in 2000, he played a pivotal role in transforming PULSE from a regional ATM network into a national debit-network provider supporting all types of debit transactions.
“Dave’s leadership and vision fundamentally shaped PULSE,” Jason said. “His client-first philosophy is deeply embedded in the culture and continues to guide how the PULSE team operates today.”
