PULSE® and Discover® Donate to Hurricane Ida Relief Efforts
As the American Red Cross continues to provide relief to communities from the Gulf Coast to the Northeast affected by Hurricane Ida, PULSE is chipping in. PULSE made a donation to support the Red Cross’ Hurricane Ida relief efforts.
Meanwhile, our parent company, Discover, is matching donations to the American Red Cross from employees through the Employee Giving Program, and will match total aggregated cardmember donations up to an amount of $100,000.
“Hurricane Ida has created an urgent need for assistance from the Gulf Coast to the Northeast, and we’re proud to be able to mobilize employees and cardmembers to support relief efforts,” said Steve Sievert, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Brand Management for PULSE.
Red Cross teams are working closely with local officials to respond to community needs and execute recovery plans. Hurricane Ida damaged or destroyed thousands of homes, and Red Cross community shelters remain essential sources of refuge for people in need across impacted areas. In addition to providing thousands of meals, snacks and relief supplies, Red Cross volunteers have provided emotional support, health services and spiritual care for people in need.
